On September 6th established designers Noor Rashid Al Khalifa & Haya Mohamed Al Khalifa presented their collection ‘Noon By Noor’  Spring Summer collection 2019 during New York Fashion Week Women’s.  The runway show took place at Spring Studios, located in Manhattan. The light and serene décor, a palm leaf shadow at the wall in the back was all what was needed to showcase this feminine, natural, ready to wear collection. Less is more!

Inspired by the beauty of Bahrain, the home country of the designers, models graciously walked the runway wearing dresses, skirts, tunics  and trousers mostly in soft tone colors as pink, sand and blue alternated with floral, black and white designs. Fabrics as linen, cotton and silk were used to create this fashionable "something for every day" collection.  The blue & white stripes outfits, the sand color skirts and trousers, the white dresses  are all examples of the elegance and simplicity this collection represents.

Basic and stylish ‘must haves’ for classic & confident women.  The last look, a beautiful black strapless organza gown was the absolute eye-catcher of this collection. Surprising, almost theatrical. Craftsmanship, bravo to this designers duo!

His designs can be described as classic, modern and innovative! He mixed and matched fabrics like mink fur, denim and neoprene what resulted in a powerful and distinctive collection. This creative designer successfully mashed up lots of unexpected elements together, such as denim cotton coats, trench coats, bomber jackets and surf swim suits.

The red, blue and yellow neoprene vest was certainly an eye-catcher. For this collection Hunte had, among others, teamed up with Teva (footwear). Wear for the sportive and adventures man. Other cool and ready to go pieces were the camouflage jackets and extra layered bomber jackets. Surprisingly nice was the trench coat with blue and orange edges. And have look at the plastic sleeves! Urban chic!

On Tuesday July 10, Nick Graham, presented his Spring Summer 2019 collection during New York Fashion Week: Men’s. It was a runway show and fashion presentation that took place in the Cadillac House on 330 Hudson Street. The theme was “ 1969" - To the moon and beyond. Nick Graham, a trend forward leading fashion brand and much appraised designer again outdid himself. Inspired by the milestones in history in the year 1969 (the first landing on the moon by Apollo 11 - and Woodstock) his collection can be called "Universal & Intergalactic".

A mashup of futuristic space suits, bomber jackets, NASA logos, floral and pop art prints dominate his presentation. A classic Cadillac parked on the runway completed the scenery. Alien looking models, men in silver and floral prints rocked the runway. A perfect mix and match left the audience in awe. The term ‘ men in black’ definitely got a new meaning when a model walked the runway in a tailored black suit (with an old school NASA emblem), a black dress shirt with white alien looking dots, a black helmet, atomic black gloves and a face cover. Impressive and surreal!

The silver metallic bomber jackets looked cool and are a perfect pick for confident and stylish men. A stand out piece in the wardrobe of the classic & sportive man is the blue suit with white block pattern. Ready to go, casual chic! The jogging pants and hoodies in black and white are a must have for men who love fancy comfortable streetwear. All eyes were on the model wearing a pink salmon tone ensemble of floral, dots and plaid prints. Fashionable and outstanding! This trendy and colorful collection, from classical patterns to casual wear, caters for all tastes!

Monday June 9, the talented Mexican born designer Ricardo Seco held his Ricardo Seco Spring Summer 2019 fashion show collection presentation at retail store Flying Solo, during New York Fashion Week Men’s. A very refreshing collection was worn by models who posed in groups and as well individually. Confidence and uniqueness on display!

Seco’s designs can be best described as urban cool. Comfortable clothes, vivid colors mixed and matched with stripes and ‘arty’ optical illusionary prints. Really nice clothing for fashionable, active and confident men. Soft colors, alternated with bright multicolors and black & white designs characterize this collection. Wearable  ‘every day clothes’ representing the ‘easy going’ lifestyle.

The green and blue jackets for example were one of the eye catchers. The jackets look both sportive as well as classic. Very easy to combine with any kind of pants or cool jeans. The perfect pick for many occasions in and outdoors. Soft fabric outfits in salmon pink, lime and yellow colors are comfortable to wear wherever the day brings you. Again easy to mix and match with one of the many other pieces from this collection.

Very hip and surprising are the black & white designs on shirts, sweaters, pants. Mesmerizing endless circles, dots and stripes. The classic looking edges on the wrist and ankles make it elegant. Ready to rock!

Mexican born menswear fashion designer Barbara Sanchez Kane presented her Sanchez Kane Fall Winter 2018 “Artesanal Sex Shop” collection fashion show on February 5th, during New York Fashion Week: Men’s Fall Winter 2018. The runway show took place at Pier59 Studios, located at Chelsea Piers in New York City. The collection is made up of 21 looks that are avant-garde and challenges the notion of how a man should look and dress.

Ms. Kane is clearly creative, very skilled at construction and her clothes carry the air of naughty humor. A great example of all three elements is a navy double-breasted suit with white stripes and green and white stripe shirt. This normally serious outfit was worn by a model walking down the runway with a tower of nine pairs of sunglasses. The designer is known for mixing politics with her fashion. One cool garment is a white t-shirt with black text “SEXXXINFLUENCER”. She is bound to have a long, fascinating, daring career in fashion.

The John Varvatos Fall Winter 2018 menswear runway fashion show

fashion show, at The Angel Orensanz Foundation in New York City, on January 26, 2018.

New York City based menswear fashion designer John Varvatos presented his John Varvatos "2.0" Fall Winter 2018 collection on Friday January 26th. The fashion show took place inside the Angel Orensanz Foundation at 172 Norfolk Street, located in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The collection featured 47 looks that are both modern and masculine. The fashion show was an early kick off to New York Fashion Week: Men's Fall Winter 2018. Everything from knitted hats, scarves, coats, sweaters, pants, socks and footwear were designed by the brand.

Mr. Varvatos sought to juxtapose competing themes throughout the collection such as combining the ideas of strong foundations with fluid free movement. In many examples chunky, attractive footwear is paired with soft turtlenecks or cashmere sweaters; wide-leg pants are matched with slim fitting bomber jackets. Layering and a lot of skilled treatment by hand to leathers and suede are also distinctive aspects to these garments. A man can easily design his entire Fall Winter wardrobe from this collection alone, if he can afford it.

The set for the fashion show, designed by Tinsel & Twine had intricate arrangements of tree branches and roots hanging from the walls and above the crowd. Some of the VIP guests in attendance included musicians the Jonas Brothers, Country music singer Thomas Rhett, rapper Iggy Azalea and many others. At the end of the runway show the designer and models stood together on a stage with their right hand over their hearts, as an electronic guitar rendition of the Star Spangled Banner by Javier Peral played.
