2024 collection, at 1010 Park Avenue on February 13, 2024 during
 New York Fashion Week.

On Tuesday February 12th, couture fashion designer Zang Toi presented his Zang Toi Fall Winter 2024 collection during New York Fashion Week. The runway show was held at the Park Avenue Christian Church located at 1010 Park Avenue. The collection paid tribute to Mr. Toi's late brother Toi See Luon. Mr. Toi was inspired inspired by Parisienne Chic Couture with a touch of rebellion seen in the Saint Germain neighborhood of Paris.

Saint Germain des Prés is a neighborhood in Paris located "Left of the River (Seine)" or as the French say Rive Gauche. The area is part of the 6th arrondissement, which is just south of the Louvre Museum. It has a bohemian vibe and one of it famous cafe's is Les Deux Magots. By design, the backdrop to this fashion show was a black and white photo of an empty table with two chairs, two tea cups, one muffin, a bouquet of flowers and the Eiffel Tower in the background.

The main colors of the collection were red, black, grey and some pops of shocking pink. A scarlet cashmere/silk turtleneck jumpshorts, with a sequin & crystal tulle ballskirt stole the show. The long sleeve top covered the upper body fully providing a conservative touch; while its form fitted cut created a seductive silhouette. The flowers on the skirt added a fairytale-princess like cuteness.

In keeping with the spirit of stately chic, a charcoal English wool tweed cape made its stealthy yet powerful way down the catwalk. Not too many women can wear a cape and look cool, however Mr. Toi paired it with a black turtleneck jump short that gives it range and wearability  for all age ranges of women. Confidence and separation from the common was the message transmitted as the modeled gleamed down the darkened runway. Zang Toi created another elegant, couture collection.

Sunday September 9th it was showtime again at the iconic Roosevelt Hotel, located at 45 East 45th Street, in the heart of midtown Manhattan near landmarks such as The Empire State Building, 5th Avenue and Broadway. Multiple up-and-coming, independent and established designers showcased their Spring 2019 collections for the final day of The Society Fashion Week. The full event took place from September 6th to 9th, and it coincided with the broader New York Fashion Week Spring Summer 2019.

This venue with great ‘grandeur’ and beautiful interiors makes you feel like being right on the set of a classic ‘jazz age’ movie. In the packed Grand Ballroom (with a 27 foot high ceiling, ornaments and candles) the flocking audience eagerly awaited the many designers showcasing their collections. The photographers in the press pit were more than ready to capture it all. Quite a scenery at this boutique spot! Bravo to all designers and models. Herewith highlighting some of them.

Elisabeth Cordelia presented her lovely classic children’s wear. Soft tone colors and lots of lace fabrics. Eye catcher was the blue & silver gown. Every girl would feel a true princess wearing it! Yikstyles presented a collection that can be described as feminine urban chic. One of the highlights was the full length summer dress with black & white flower print. Look at the batwing sleeves, slay it!

Camellia Couture presented a collection with lots of soft tone colors, bows and floral prints. Very beautiful was the pink gown in satin with laces and open back. Destiny Howard showcased contemporary stylish designs. Feeling ‘summer vibes’ with the classy yet simple open shoulder white tunic dress. A collection with the message to embrace yourself! De Lauriane collection; colorful and wearable children’s clothing. Lots of nice and quirky outfits like the black & blue dress. Mixed and matched fabrics and prints; own your style!

Original Crackage presented a cool collection with lines, stripes, contrasting colors and floral prints. Urban trendsetting clothing. George+Ginger presented her everyday-wear collection. Flattering classy designs, smooth fabrics and layered (lace) pieces. The yellow floral dress was one of the many pretty outfits.

On September 6th established designers Noor Rashid Al Khalifa & Haya Mohamed Al Khalifa presented their collection ‘Noon By Noor’  Spring Summer collection 2019 during New York Fashion Week Women’s.  The runway show took place at Spring Studios, located in Manhattan. The light and serene décor, a palm leaf shadow at the wall in the back was all what was needed to showcase this feminine, natural, ready to wear collection. Less is more!

Inspired by the beauty of Bahrain, the home country of the designers, models graciously walked the runway wearing dresses, skirts, tunics  and trousers mostly in soft tone colors as pink, sand and blue alternated with floral, black and white designs. Fabrics as linen, cotton and silk were used to create this fashionable "something for every day" collection.  The blue & white stripes outfits, the sand color skirts and trousers, the white dresses  are all examples of the elegance and simplicity this collection represents.

Basic and stylish ‘must haves’ for classic & confident women.  The last look, a beautiful black strapless organza gown was the absolute eye-catcher of this collection. Surprising, almost theatrical. Craftsmanship, bravo to this designers duo!

Wednesday was part of the unofficial start to New York Fashion Week: Women's Fall Winter 2017. The official start date for NYFW is the second Thursday in February and September. With hundreds of fashion show occurring within an eight day period, some designers choose to get a head start and show their collections early in the calendar. Three such brands that helped kick off the latest fashion week season are Roumel6, PH5 and Hayley Elsaesser.

Designer Denitza Skorcheva held a fashion presentation for her Roumel6 Fall 2017 collection in which three models posed on a set in Drift Studios; located in the art gallery rich section of Chelsea, New York City. Models wore one outfit per scene and there were two scenes. The pieces are soft, elegant and made from luxurious materials such as satin, silk velvet, Chantilly lace and beaded tulle. When talking about the inspiration behind the collection, Ms. Skorcheva stated "how they feel against your skin is so important to me, because that changes your mood also".

Designers Wei Lin and Mijia Zhang held their PH5 Fall Winter 2017 "Art Meets Science" collection presentation in Bortolami Gallery, which is also located in Chelsea. The duo found inspiration in artist Martin Creed's work No. 227. The set was made up of large white and transparent balloons. Fifteen models stood side by side on their own small, white boxes. The clothes are colorful, yet restrained; playful and at the same time sexy.

Canadian designer Hayley Elsaesser held a presentation of menswear and womenwears for her eponymous Fall Winter 2017 "My Little Pony" collection in Milk Studios, located in the Meatpacking District. The designer partnered with Hasbro to create high-fashion streetwear based on themes and characters from My Little Pony. The twenty-three looks focused heavily on bold, colorful prints on very sensible silhouettes.
